Referrals and how we're funded

Today the service is free and doesn't refer anyone to anyone. We believe most common issues can be fixed without paying for help, and the check is built to make that easy.

In future, if you ask for help with something you can't fix yourself, we may offer to introduce you to a security provider. If we do:

• It will only happen if you ask, and only after you agree to exactly what's shared.
• We may be paid by the provider for the introduction, and we'll say so when we offer it.
• Payments will never change what we find, how serious we say it is, or the fixes we recommend.
